A team for 50 years

Brauersdorf, which was politically independent until the beginning of 1971, was the first municipality in the district of kronach to decide to voluntarily incorporate into rothenkirchen on 1 july 2018. January 1971 decided. On 3. January 1971 all official business was officially transferred from brauersdorf to markt rothenkirchen.

First amalgamation in the district

Rothenkirchen and brauersdorf were thus the first municipalities to begin the territorial reform in the region and joined together as the first municipalities in the district of kronach. The today's responsible persons in the market pressig and the administrative district took this 50th order. Anniversary of the incorporation as an occasion for a small commemoration, combined with a morning pint of the village community in the fire station brauersdorf . Second mayor and co-initiator of the celebration, wolfgang fortsch, was pleased to welcome district administrator klaus loffler, mayor stefan heinlein, third mayor klaus dressel and vicar general georg kestel.

Wolfgang fortsch let pass again the past at the beginning of the 1970er years in review. In addition, he read from the meticulous records of the mayor of brauersdorf at that time, anton kestel. In may 1970, a vote at a citizens' meeting resulted in a unanimous vote by the citizens of brauersdorf in favor of incorporation into rothenkirchen.

The bavarian state ministry of the interior then ordered the incorporation into the market town of rothenkirchen as of 1 january 1978. January 1971 to. The market town council rothenkirchen indicated in the meantime after negotiations that one would take up brauersdorf and all national special subsidies resulting from it for brauersdorfer interests would use. Generally this was seen as a marriage of convenience, because brauersdorf as a financially weak community was no longer viable in the long run. Brauersdorf was thus the forerunner for the municipal territorial reform ordered from 1972 to 1978.

96 became 18

The municipal area reform from 1972 to 1978 reduced the number of municipalities in the district of kronach from 96 to 18. At that time, the community of brauersdorf thanked above all district administrator edgar emmert, the staff at the district office and other authorities. The construction of the war memorial in 1952 and the extension of the municipal road as a connection to the B 85 in 1959 as well as the local connection road to rothenkirchen in 1966 are cited as achievements.

This farsighted decision found high acknowledgment in the small celebration of land advice klaus loffler and the today's mayor of the market pressig, stefan heinlein. District administrator loffler praised the decision of the municipality of brauersdorf at the time to lead the way in a territorial reform that had been controversial for many years. This initiative was still voluntary at this stage to take necessary steps by way of territorial reform. The local councillors and the mayor of brauersdorf at that time recognized that only together, as well as today, many things can be brought on the way for a good common living together. He thanked wolfgang fortsch for his commitment as a market town councillor and for the community within the village community in several functions and all this on an honorary basis. Fortsch is a model of reliability and trust, which in turn stand for the stability of a functioning village community. In this respect, the district administrator also saw it as good, and he was happy to come, if one remembers such difficult decisions of the ancestors in gratitude, because it went in some places also differently and not with such unity as in brauersdorf and rothenkirchen.

Local communities as pillars of society

Mayor stefan heinlein could follow these words only. Full of enthusiasm he shared from the heart, "together we are strong, we fit well together". Despite all the territorial reforms of that time, the small parts of the municipality were an anchor for the voluntary commitment of its fellow citizens and thus the districts with their associations and committed fellow citizens were an important pillar of society.

Examples are the care of the municipal green spaces, the care and maintenance of the beautiful war memorial, but also the care and support of the central meeting place at the fire station. And another wonderful example of the strong community is for the mayor the children's playground opened two years ago with the pavilion as a meeting place for young and old. He was a prime example of good cooperation between the local community and the public authorities, he praised.

And stefan heinlein named another characteristic for the importance of the smallest community part in the municipality: brauersdorf provides the second and the third mayor of the market town with 4000 inhabitants . Also that is, so the mayor , probably privilege and acknowledgment of the versatile honorary activities of its two villagers wolfgang fortsch (second mayor , SPD ) and klaus dressel (third mayor , CSU ).

The latter led with a presentation through the brauersdorf history.
